Local Motorcyclist Fatally Injured in Crash

Just weeks after an Ozark man was killed in a motorcycle crash, another accident has claimed the life of a local motorcyclist, Brian Raymond, 39, of Rogersville. On Sunday, January 30, Raymond was traveling eastbound on Republic Road in Springfield when he collided with a pickup making a left turn onto Golden Avenue. Raymond and his passenger, Jessica Kelly, 29, were both hospitalized for injuries—Kelly’s serious and Raymond’s life-threatening. Raymond passed the following afternoon as a result of his injuries. Raymond reportedly worked in construction leaves behind a daughter Sydney, 20.

The investigation of the crash is ongoing; there is still no word on whether the driver of the pickup will face criminal charges for his involvement in the accident. We at MacPherson Law, LLC wish Ms. Kelly a speedy and full recovery and offer our sincerest condolences to the family of Mr. Raymond as they deal with this unthinkable tragedy. We also remind all drivers to be mindful of others on the road, especially harder to see motorcyclists and pedestrians.
